The Chairman’s Civic Reception

On Friday 27th of July the Chairman of Maldon District Council, Councillor Henry Bass, hosted his Civic Reception at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome.

The Chairman was joined by dignitaries, including the Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff, politicians, local Councillors, Chairman and Mayors from across the County. Also in attendance were local business leaders, many of whom Cllr Bass has met on official visits promoting local business.

Councillor Bass and his wife Jane warmly welcomed everyone to the Maldon District and to the unique Great War Aerodrome. Cllr Bass spoke of his pride to be part of the Maldon District and said “We are proud to call this site one of the jewels in the crown of the District and to benefit from such beautiful surroundings. I would like to thank all the trustees and volunteers for facilitating this event.”

The guests were treated to an afternoon tea in the grounds of the aerodrome.
