New opportunities in 2019

The Council is looking to bring new and exciting events, family activities and concessions to the Maldon District.

Each year thousands of visitors and tourists choose to spend their time in the Maldon District which creates significant opportunities for new and existing businesses.

The Council is looking to bring new and exciting events, family activities and concessions to the Maldon District.

We are inviting expressions of interest from people and organisations who would like to bring new events, activities or food concessions to the Council owned District parks and public spaces.

Cllr Bob Boyce, MBE, Chairman of the Council’s Community Services Committee, said: “2018 was a record year for the Council with huge events and hundreds of thousands of happy visitors. We always want to bring something new to the District and to our Parks and open spaces.

We are now looking for new partners for 2019 to bring new events, food offers, fun activities and shopping experiences to our parks, residents and visitors. If you want to reach thousands of new customers our team would like to hear from you.”

Opportunities exist across various District parks and open spaces including:

Promenade Park, Maldon
One of the regions premier and most loved venues, known for hosting the world famous Maldon Mud Race, Classic Car Shows and the new Smoke and Fire Festival.

Riverside Park, Burnham-on-Crouch
This large and much loved park has great views over the river and links to the picturesque town of Burnham-on-Crouch.

Hythe Quay
The gateway to Maldon for well over a thousand years and home of the iconic Thames Sailing Barges.

Oak Tree Meadow & Elms Farm Park
Popular play area, meadows and lakes on the banks of the Blackwater Canal and near Tesco in Maldon.
