North Maldon business breakfast at Crowne Plaza - another successful networking and information event
Following great feedback from the first ever Chairman’s Business Breakfast for the North Maldon District in October 2018 a follow-on event took place, equally as successful and buzzing as the first one. This one was held at Crowne Plaza – Five Lakes by kind invitation of Charles Morgan, General Manager, on Friday 18 January 2019.
Again, many positive connections were made between businesses, and speakers present provided information on subjects as varied as TALE funding for transport and logistics efficiencies from Haven Gateway, knowledge transfer from Anglia University, Cyber Security from the Essex Police Serious Crime Directorate and business rates for 20/21 by Maldon District Council.
Cllr Henry Bass, Chairman of Maldon District Council was extremely pleased with the outcome and commented ‘It was great to see that today’s event was as much of a success as the first one and that businesses were once again able to make some great new contacts. We were also very lucky to have such excellent speakers on subjects that are able to benefit local business and I hope that those that were there will take up on the opportunities that were offered.’
One attendee fed back that it ‘was great to meet some very different business people and a few new contacts have been made’ and another thanked Maldon District Council for ‘organising an excellent meeting and breakfast’.
The Chairman extended his grateful thanks to Crowne Plaza – Five Lakes Resort who kindly sponsored the event.
