2019 Conservation and Design Award Winners Announced

The winners of the 36th Maldon District Conservation and Design Awards have been announced.
The winners for 2019 include
- the restoration of an ancient timber-framed house
- the repair of a 19th century steam mill
- the design of two bespoke new dwellings
- landscaping work to slow the erosion of valuable saltmarsh
Six exemplary projects in total received awards in the annual categories of Building Conservation, Design, Sustainability and Nature Conservation at a Presentation Ceremony held on the 5 November 2019.
Councillor Penny Channer, Chairman of the Judging Panel said “Maldon’s Conservation and Design Awards celebrate the very best in this district. This year’s award-winning projects display outstanding enthusiasm, commitment, skill and pragmatism in their approach to some of most valued parts of our local environment”.
