Coronavirus Impact – Change to Telephone Contact Times
Published on Thursday, 2nd April 2020
From Monday 6 April, Maldon District Council’s telephone service will be available from 10.00am to 4.00pm
Maldon District Council would like to thank customers who have adapted to changes in the way that our services are delivered. Since the Council offices closed on 24 March all contact was directed online, or if extremely urgent via the telephone. So much contact is now online that the opening times for telephone contact is changing.
From Monday 6 April, Maldon District Council’s telephone service will be available from 10.00am to 4.00pm to reflect the increased contact that is now made online. The changes will allow more time to be devoted to responding to online enquiries, ensuring that our high standards of customer service can be delivered. Anyone without access to the Internet with an urgent enquiry can still contact the Council by telephone between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
Cllr Adrian Fluker, Leader of Maldon District Council, said: “It is important that we continue to protect the health and wellbeing of our community and staff at this unprecedented time.
It has been necessary to make some changes to how we deliver our services and I would like to thank everyone who contacts the Council for adapting so quickly to the new ways of working.
Changing our telephone contact times is another small change that helps us to respond quickly to the high volume of online enquiries that are being received.”
Further to Government advice regarding Coronavirus COVID-19, the Council offices are closed. Instead please contact us using our online form or if the matter is extremely urgent by telephone on 01621 854477 between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
Thank you for your understanding at this challenging time.
