With lots of us at home during the coronavirus lockdown, please be considerate towards your neighbours and where possible avoid lighting any fires.

The Council is asking for residents’ cooperation in protecting everyone’s health by not burning their waste particularly as garden waste collections for existing customers continue at this time.

People whose breathing is affected by the virus or who have other respiratory problems, such as asthma or COPD, could be badly affected by smoke. Bonfires make it difficult for people with asthma and similar conditions to go out for their daily exercise.
