Virtual Jobs Fair – 10 February 2022

Maldon District Council is inviting employers to showcase their job opportunities at a virtual job fair on 10th February.

The virtual job fair is being organised in partnership with the Essex Opportunities Portal team, a one stop shop for information on employment, training, and careers for residents. Previous events in July and October were viewed by more than 9000 residents across Essex.

Due to the success, another event has been planned with Maldon District Council and Chelmsford City Council which will take place on Thursday 10th February 2022 between 11am – 1pm.

The event is free for employers to attend and will be held on the innovative Learn Live platform. Employers will have the opportunity to record a 15 minute video to showcase their business and vacancies which will be shown to residents during the event.

Job vacancies can be added to a virtual job board before the day and a live chat function will be enabled to talk directly to candidates, a member of staff will need to be available to facilitate this.

Cllr Richard Siddall, Leader Designate of Maldon District Council, said: “After the success of the previous virtual job fairs, we are excited to bring this opportunity to employers in the Maldon District. Due to shortages in the labour market, businesses have found it difficult to recruit in the past 18 months. This event will aim to ease those difficulties and provide them with an opportunity to engage directly with potential candidates in an informal setting.”
