Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service (MDCVS) is pleased to announce that they have successfully secured a contract from Essex County Council, to deliver a Universal Standard Support Offer, from 1st December 2024.

This initiative will be supported by Uttlesford Community Action Network (UCAN) and local Maldon business Pipe Media, to create a comprehensive digital repository of information, advice, guidance, and training for the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) across Essex.

The Universal Standard Support Offer aims to enhance business compliance, sustainability, development, and efficiency for VCS organisations. This resource will be accessible to all VCS groups in Essex, encouraging partners to make good use of the resources which it will provide.

Sarah Troop, Director of Maldon and District CVS, said, “We are delighted to be invited to develop this innovative new resource for the voluntary sector in Essex. This builds on the decades of charity expertise that we have as an established voluntary sector infrastructure provider but utilising AI and digital innovation promises to be a forward looking tool for organisations of all sizes”

Cllr Richard Siddall, Leader of Maldon District Council, said; “Maldon and District CVS have provided first class support to residents of the Maldon District for many years, so I am delighted that they have been awarded this contract.

“Using their knowledge and experience, they will create a vital resource to support the voluntary sector in Essex, supported by local Maldon Business Pipe Media.”
