Maldon District Council Confirms Additional UK Shared Prosperity Fund Allocation for the District
Published on Monday, 16th December 2024

The Council are pleased to confirm that they have received confirmation from the Government that the District will receive a further allocation of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for 2025/26.
In the Autumn Budget published earlier this year, the Chancellor confirmed the continuation of UKSPF for another year, which will allow local authorities to invest in local growth, in advance of wider funding reforms.
The £327,146 allocation for the Maldon District will fund projects over the next financial year, continuing support of the funds priorities which are:
- Communities and Place
- Supporting Local Business
- People and Skills
Councillor Richard Siddall, Leader of Maldon District Council, said “I am delighted that the Government have confirmed a further UKSPF allocation for the Maldon District.
“This continued funding will give the Council more opportunities to deliver a range of projects across the District for the benefit of our residents, visitors and businesses.
“We have already delivered the Burnham-on-Crouch Pontoon, two new accessible play areas and a wider business engagement programme, to name a few, with the previous funding.
“We look forward to sharing further details about the new projects in the new year.”
