What is the Where Quality of Life Matters Community Fund?
The Where Quality of Life Matters Community Fund has been set up to provide organisations with the opportunity to deliver projects that improve the quality of life for residents in the district. Grants of up to £10,000 are available to applicants. For applications over £1,000 the team strongly suggest you have an exploratory conversation in advance of submitted your application, please email strategy.team@maldon.gov.uk to arrange this, providing a brief description of your project.
For hints and tips on how to write a good grant application, please watch the Effective Bid Writing Workshop video from Supersonic Startup.
Applications will be accepted from Monday 1 September and will close on Sunday 30 November 2025. This application will be open to Town and Parish Councils, registered voluntary, community or charitable organisations and registered Social Enterprise only.
Applications will be assessed and scored by the relevant panel in December, when a decision on the allocation of funding will be made.
Projects will only be funded if they are firmly and directly aligned with the Council’s Corporate Plan (Corporate Plan 2025 - 2028) in particular, we are looking at schemes which will deliver wider community benefits, rather than benefits to individual clubs or organisations and that will also deliver on the following priorities, actions and outcomes:
- Supporting Our Communities.
- Investing In Our District.
- Growing Our Economy.
- Protecting Our Environment.
Please read the Where Quality of Life Matters Community Fund – Applicant Guidance for more information before applying for funding.
