We are always keen to hear residents' views. Have your say by commenting on any of the consultations below. Excludes planning application consultations.
Wickham Bishops Neighbourhood Plan
The Wickham Bishops Neighbourhood Plan has been developed by Wickham Bishops Parish Council and proposes local planning policies for Wickham Bishops. Once ‘made’ (adopted) a Neighbourhood Plan has the same legal status as the district wide Local Development Plan and will be used alongside the Local Plan in deciding planning applications within the Parish.
We are now seeking views on the plan and its supporting documents.
The consultation is open between Thursday 15 October 2020 and closes at 5.00pm on Thursday 26 November 2020.
Maldon High Street Consultation - 5 October - 16 November 2020
We would like to hear from residents and businesses about how they use the High Street now, and how they would like to use the High Street in the future.
The draft plans included with this consultation are indicative of a High Street that prioritises pedestrians, cyclists and sustainable transport solutions. The draft plans restrict non-essential motorised vehicle use, and free up significant pavement space for enhanced, safe equitable community use. These plans will develop and evolve based on the public consultation feedback, and any final plans will form part of a further consultation.

We're really keen to hear your views on the Council and the District and giving the Council your views is vital to help shape services and plans for the future. This is always important but as the District gradually moves out of the COVID-19 situation, it is crucial to understand how the Council can continue to do better. Residents and Business Survey Feedback 2019
Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete the Council's Residents and Business Survey last year. The 2019 survey was the first of its kind. 520 residents and 43 businesses responded to the questions which covered everything from general views about the District, health and wellbeing and climate change to detailed questions about Council services and facilities. If you would like to find out more about the outcome of that survey, go to
