Dealing with noise complaints

The officer dealing with your case will contact you to find out exactly what is causing the problem.  If we are happy that you have tried to let the noise maker know that they are causing a problem we will then write to the person making the noise and make them aware that their activities are causing a noise disturbance - we will ask them to stop.

Often people are not aware that they are causing a problem and we find that the initial warning letter stops the noise.  However, sometimes the noise continues so we will also ask you to complete noise nuisance diary sheets and return them to us within 28 days.
