Private Water Supplies
Under the Private Water Supplies (England) Regulations 2016 we have a duty to carry out a risk assessment and monitor each private water supply (except supplies to single dwellings not used for commercial activity).
The frequency of sampling and the range of parameters examined may vary depending on the number of persons, the volume of water supplied and whether it is commercial or domestic use.
The regulations require formal action to be taken to ensure that private water supplies meet the standards and other requirements of the 1998 European Drinking Water Directive 98/83/EC.
If you would like your private water supply tested please view our charges and contact us.
If you would like more information on maintaining your private water supply you can download our leaflet 'Important Information About Your Private Water Supply'.
You can find further information at the Drinking Water Inspectorate.
