Armistice Day – Friday 11 November

Poppy day

Two minutes silence will be observed at the Hythe Quay, Maldon and the War Memorial, Burnham-on-Crouch at 11:00 a.m. on Friday 11 November. Please arrive by 10.45 a.m. and note that maroons will be fired at both locations to mark the silence.

Cllr Bob Boyce MBE, Chairman of the Maldon District Council will be attending the Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Burnham-on-Crouch.

Cllr Stephen Nunn, Vice-Chairman of Maldon District Council will be attendance at Hythe Quay, Maldon, where a Service of Remembrance, will be led by Father John Dickens of St Mary’s Church.

Serving personnel, ex-serving personnel, their families, cadets and members of the public would be most welcome to attend either location to mark this occasion.
