Barclays has recently entered into another 12 month agreement to offer support from Maldon District Council offices.

Cllr Richard Siddall, Leader of Maldon District Council, said; “I am really pleased that Barclays has decided to maintain a presence at the Council Offices in Maldon, following the closure of their high street branch. By working with partners, like Barclays, it enables the council to support residents in accessing other services that may otherwise no longer exist in the district.”

Stuart Pugh, Barclays Customer Care Leader is delighted with the arrangements in Maldon and said: “The Barclays Local site in Maldon has been a huge success and we’re really pleased to be working with Maldon District Council again to continue to provide in person banking support.

“Barclays has continued to adapt its physical footprint across a range of different solutions, and we now have over 250 Barclays Local sites helping customers with their everyday finance and money management needs.”

Barclays Local offers a way of remaining in places where there is no longer enough demand to support a traditional branch. Each Barclays Local also offers free digital skills workshops and fraud and scams awareness events for the community.

Barclays will continue to offer support to their customers from the Council Offices on a Wednesday and Thursday each week from 9.30am to 12.30pm then 1.00pm to 4.00pm.

Customers wishing to see colleagues on site can either drop in or pre-book appointments online www.barclays.co.uk/local.
