Maldon Market hours extended!

Published on Thursday, 9th November 2023

Following the successful relaunch of Maldon Market at Butt Lane, we're excited to announce that the operating hours will be extended from 0900-1300 to 0900-1400.

Feedback from traders and residents has been overwhelmingly supportive and we’re delighted that people want longer to browse, purchase and support the town centre.

Cllr Richard Siddall, Leader of Maldon District Council, said; “It’s wonderful that the revitalised market has been positively received by both traders and users of the market. The extended hours will allow more people to visit, enable and support its continued success and being able to buy local, high quality produce.”

Market operators, Alex and Justine Paul of Suffolk Market Events said “We are delighted with the response and feedback from customers at the market where we have over 20 stalls each week including local fish, meat, organic vegetables, plants, sausages, pies, cheese, brownies and cakes as well as an excellent range of craft and arts stalls.

The overriding feedback was to extend the market till 2pm which we have now done - so we hope to see lots of new faces at the market on Thursday each week.”
