Member Appointments for the Municipal Year 2025/26

Following the Annual Statutory Council meeting held on 15 May, the Member appointments for the 2025-2026 Municipal Year were agreed.
Councillor Kevin Lagan has been re-appointed as Chairman of Maldon District Council for a third year at the Statutory Annual Council meeting held on 15 May.
Councillor Kevin Lagan said; “I am delighted have been re-elected as Chairman of Maldon District Council for the next municipal year. I consider it to be a great privilege to represent this Council and celebrate the magnificent work undertaken in our wonderful community.”
Councillor Richard Siddall, who has also been re-appointed as Leader of Maldon District Council, said.
"I am honoured to have been re-appointed as Leader of Maldon District Council for a third term, and I appreciate the confidence shown by Members.
“In light of forthcoming changes in Local Government, I, along with other Members, will ensure that Maldon District Council's voice is clearly represented in any negotiations and that we strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for our community.
“Over the next few years, the Council will continue to deliver the priorities in our Corporate Plan and to provide the best possible services for our residents. We will also continue to work with our partners to deliver on the much needed health and road infrastructure in the district.”
