Major Refurbishment Works Completed at Promenade Park Amphitheatre

Maldon District Council is pleased to announce the completion of major refurbishment works to the amphitheatre in Promenade Park, enhancing its role as a vibrant public performance space.
The improvements include the introduction of step-free access areas, making the venue more inclusive and accessible to all visitors. Seating areas have also been upgraded to improve comfort and usability, while additional structural works have been carried out to ensure the amphitheatre remains a safe and sustainable venue for future events.
Councillor Richard Siddall, Leader of Maldon District Council, said: “We’ve made real, practical improvements to the amphitheatre that will benefit residents and visitors for years to come. This space is now more accessible and comfortable, and better equipped to host performances and community events. We can be proud of the work that’s been completed, and I am looking forward to seeing it in use.”
An official opening ceremony will be held to mark the completion of the works, with details to be announced in due course.
