The Smoke and Fire Festival scheduled to take place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of August in Promenade Park has been CANCELLED.
Statement from the Leader of Maldon District Council
Cllr Simon Morgan, Leader of Maldon District Council, said; “Following the Government’s emergency alert this evening, the Council has taken the responsible decision to cancel the Smoke and Fire Festival. Public safety must come first, and while we understand this will be disappointing for those planning to attend, it would not be appropriate for the event to go ahead in these circumstances.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank residents, visitors, traders and event partners for their understanding. Anyone who has purchased tickets should contact their ticket seller directly.
