Maldon District Council is proud to support serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans, reservists, cadet force adult volunteers and military families living in our district.
We recognise the important contribution that the Armed Forces community makes to local life and are committed to ensuring that those who serve, or have served, are treated fairly and can access the help and services they need.
Whether you are currently serving, transitioning to civilian life, a veteran, or a family member seeking advice, a range of assistance is available locally and nationally.
Support and Advice
If you are unsure where to start, the UK Government's dedicated support system for veterans can provide advice and connect you with the most appropriate organisation or service for your needs. Delivered through the Office for Veterans' Affairs' VALOUR programme, the service aims to make it easier for veterans and their families to access trusted support, information and guidance. Assistance is available across a range of areas, including housing and homelessness, physical and mental health, employment and training, benefits and financial support, family wellbeing, and independent living.
