Electric Vehicle Charging and Low Emissions Strategy

Our Electric Vehicle Charging and Low Emissions Strategy sets out how we will support cleaner travel across Maldon District between 2025 and 2028. As more people choose electric vehicles, we need to make sure there are enough safe, reliable and convenient places to charge them.

Maldon is a rural district where many people rely on cars to get to work, school and essential services. This strategy explains how we will expand public charging points, support residents without off street parking, and gradually move the Council’s own vehicles to lower emission alternatives. By doing this, we aim to reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality and support a cleaner, healthier future for our communities.
