Pre-Submission means that this is the version (PDF) of the LDP that the Council submitted to the Secretary of State for examination.

The purpose of this consultation was to provide an opportunity for you to comment on the matters that will be considered by an inspector conducting the examination. Comments were invited on whether the Plan has been prepared in accordance with the duty to co-operate, legal and procedural requirements, and that the Plan is 'sound'.

Previous stage: Draft LDP consultation 2013

The consultation for the Draft LDP began on 28 August and closed on 14 October; a leaflet and questionnaire were sent to every household and business in the District, and the Council held a series of consultation events throughout September to enable people to discuss the Draft LDP with Council representatives.

We had a fantastic reaction during this public consultation receiving over 3,500 responses. These were processed and analysed, and alongside further technical work, have informed the Pre-Submission LDP. For an overview of the key findings from respondents to the Draft LDP public consultation please see the report to Special Council on 11 December 2013, and its appendices.
