Maldon District Council as collecting authority
Maldon District Council is responsible for administering and collecting the Building Safety Levy for developments within the Maldon District.
This responsibility applies regardless of which building control route is used.
Where a Registered Building Control Approver or the Building Safety Regulator is overseeing the building control work, the levy is still payable to Maldon District Council where the development is located within the Maldon District.
The Council will calculate the levy, issue the relevant liability or no-charge notice, collect payment and provide confirmation of payment where required.
