Buildings at risk grant scheme
There are 187 buildings at risk in Essex. The Maldon District has 10 buildings at risk on the 2009 register.
The buildings at risk grant scheme assists owners to produce a feasibility study or condition survey by a suitable professional (that is an architect, structural engineer or member of a building preservation trust) and is a vital first step towards bringing a building back into good repair and of beneficial use (in line with current policy).
Projects can be discussed with the conservation officer in the first instance.
