Has your collection day changed? check online nowWhat's happening?April 2012 has seen the introduction of a new recycling service. We are pleased to advise that most residents will be able to recycle plastics and food waste on a weekly basis. This is in addition to what you already recycle at home. Any non standard properties will be contacted in due course and advised of any changes to their recycling service. Why are we changing? In a customer survey in 2009 you told us that you wanted to recycle more materials, especially plastic. New arrangements with our contractor Enterprise mean we can now collect a wide range of plastic packaging. We are also collecting food waste separately as this will mean that it no longer ends up in the landfill sites. What will change? The way you put out your recycling for collection will change so that all recycling can be collected in a single vehicle. For standard properties you will receive:
Please note: The way you use your existing black and blue boxes will also change. Your collection day may change! Please consult the leaflet which will be delivered to your property or lookup your collection day online. Your refuse and recycling will be collected on the same day each week. Any changes will not affect the existing arrangements for collection of your green/garden waste. Bank Holiday collectionsCollections will be made on Good Friday and Diamond Jubilee but run one day late with Friday's collections being made on Saturday following all other Bank Holidays.
