Service Updates

Due to the national shortage of HGV drivers some services may be affected. For more information please check here before you report a missed collection.

Reporting a missed waste collection

Due to the national driver shortage we have some new arrangements in place:

  • Missed recycling or food waste - Please take it back in and re-present it on your next scheduled collection day, as we can't return for it during the national driver shortage
  • Missed glass recycling - as above or you can take it to one of our recycling bank sites located throughout the District
  • Missed textiles - Please contact Essex Textiles
  • Missed refuse or garden waste - if you have enough room in your bin to keep it and re-present it on your next scheduled collection day that would really help.  If not, please report it within 2 business days of being missed and leave it out and we will return as soon as we can.

Please note that if a missed service request is raised where a service issue has been reported by our crews or after the 2 business days reporting window, the request will be cancelled and no response will be sent.
